History
In the year 2005, 4 physicians from the surrounding area of Basking Ridge decided to join and form a partnership and decided to open their own State-Of-The-Art Surgical Center located at 175 Morristown Road, Basking Ridge, NJ, focusing on Pain Management and Spinal Procedures. They named their Class C one-room center, the Franklin Surgical Center, LLC. The center joined into a management agreement with Murphy Healthcare. The center received Medicare Deemed Status through AAAHC on September 8, 2006, which has been maintained through the present. Through the years additional specialties have been added- 2007 Ortho-Hand, 2008-Urology, ENT/Facial Plastics, GYN, Ortho Foot/Ankle, Knee, and Shoulder. In May of 2014, construction of their second Operating Room commenced. The renovation was completed in September of 2014 and State licensure was achieved on October 14, 2014. As of September 15, 2014, there were 20 physician owners.
In May of 2015, the Franklin Surgical Center partnered with Surgical Care Affiliates and separated from Murphy Healthcare. Surgical Care Affiliates is based out of Birmingham, Alabama.
